Quality website traffic has been getting harder and harder to get as of the last year. I remember three or four years ago, quality website traffic was easy to get from search engines. It was simple to rank well for very popular terms, especially when other site owners were just learning about getting quality website traffic. I’m going to go through a few things that will hopefully help you get that quality website traffic you’re searching for, and hopefully help you on your way to getting the amount of quality website traffic that I am.

Search engines are the most thought of thing when someone wants to get quality website traffic. Basically in order to get quality website traffic from the search engine, you need to rank well. Nowadays it’s getting quite hard to rank well, with the billions of sites that are currently up and competing for very popular terms. Because of this, you have to choose what are called, ‘long tail keywords’. Long tail keywords are basically just longer keywords than broad things like, “buy fish online”. An example of a long tail keyword for that would be, “buy smelly fish online at a discount”. This would obviously have a lot less sites competing for it, and would be easier to rank well for.

Another good way to get quality website traffic is to search out for other websites like your own, and then look at their contact page, and ask for a link exchange. A link exchange is where two sites put each others links on their site, in order for their users to click, so they both get more quality website traffic. My suggestion would be to search Google for sites like your own, and go to their contact page and e-mail the owner of the site, and ask them for a link exchange. It would probably be a good idea to mention how much traffic you are getting, so they know what type of quality website traffic they are likely to be getting from the deal.

Quality website traffic can also come from forums. If you find forums related to your site via Google, you can make some posts on there, and either include your website link in your URL, or you can blatantly advertise your website there, which can sometimes work. A better idea would be to host a competition of some kind on your site, and then post about that on other forums. Quality website traffic can come from forums quite easily if you know what you’re doing.

I’ve been an Internet Marketer for over three years, and these have been some of the best methods I’ve seen for getting quality website traffic. Most webmasters search for the ‘easy way’ and the quick way, but really, there isn’t anything better than these. If you want to make it in the online world, you’re going to have to put in the work to get the quality website traffic. Because your competition most certainly is!

Search engine web site traffic is one of the best ways to get traffic on the internet in my opinion. Lately I’ve been really researching this method of getting traffic and have come to the conclusion that you CAN gain massive amounts of traffic from search engines, mainly Google, Yahoo and MSN, but it does take time and quite a bit of effort. Though once you have it set up, the traffic is completely passive. There are three main things that search engines look for, and if you want to get a lot of search engine web site traffic, you’re going to have to take these into consideration.

Backlinks

Backlinks are a major thing in getting good rankings in the search engines, and for getting search engine web site traffic. Basically backlinks are just other sites linking towards your site. The search engine will pick up the link from the site and count it as a backlink for you. To get search engine web site traffic though the site that is linking towards you has to have a good Page Rank, or the backlink will not mean too much. This is a very important step in getting search engine web site traffic, and should not be ignored if you want to have any hope.

Keyword Choice

Keyword choice is another big point with getting search engine web site traffic. If you choose keywords too many other sites are trying to rank well for, you will have a much harder time getting search engine web site traffic, than if you chose what’s called a long tail keyword, these are great to help your rankings and search engine web site traffic. A long tail keyword is basically something like “buy cheap things online now at a discount”. A longer and much more specific term that relates to your site. You want to focus on these types of keywords, but don’t make them too long or there will be no-one searching for them, and you won’t get any search engine web site traffic.

Keyword Density

I’ve done quite a bit of research on keyword density and its relation to search engine web site traffic. Keyword density is how often your keyword occurs within your page. I’ve found that you normally want to aim for approximately 5-7% keyword density for the best search engine web site traffic and to get your keyword ranking well. There are online tools to help you find out what your keyword density is. Search on Google for “keyword density” and you should fine one. This is a big thing to increase your search engine web site traffic

Other tips:

• Have your keyword atleast once in every paragraph, and it is essential to have it within your opening paragrah and closing paragraph.
• It is also good to have the keyword in your title, that helps quite a bit I’ve found.
• Don’t give up! It may take up to a few weeks for google to update, and for you to rank well and start getting search engine web site traffic

How do I drive traffic to my web site? A common question asked by the newbie, or even a skilled webmaster. As time goes on it’s getting harder and harder to drive traffic to my web site. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, creating an online store, creating a blog, or just creating a fan site. Everyone has one this one thing in common – how do I drive traffic to my web site?

Since I started my internet business, I have tried many, many ways to drive traffic to my web site. I was most definitely a newbie. I found that mostly everything I read and everything people told me was hard to understand. “What’s that? How will that drive traffic to my web site?!” I found that just asking questions to other skilled webmasters, that I learned at a very quick rate.

Where am I now? Right now I’m working from home as an Internet Marketer. I’m getting over 5000 uniques per day to my site, and I know people love to hear how much I earn, so lets just say on average 5% of people that visit my site buy something. Can you imagine how much commission I get? So I have definitely solved how to drive traffic to my web site, which is THE most important part of being successful online.  I’m going to go through and review each different method to drive traffic to my web site, and show you how I do it.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization is something you definitely have to do at the start when you create any new site. It accounts for about 30% of the traffic that I drive to my web site. Search Engine Optimization is pretty much how you optimize your web pages in order to get a better ranking with the search engines, so that you will get more traffic from search engines. It is best to optimize your pages for only 1-2 keywords, so that you can rank high for those and get traffic from those keywords that people will type in. This is about 30% of the way I drive traffic to my web site.

Pay Per Click

Pay Per Click is things like Google Adwords, and Yahoo Search. You pay for each user that clicks your ad on the search engine. Pay per click is something I tried when I first started to drive traffic to my web site. I can say that I didn’t really like the results. I DID drive traffic to my web site, but the amount it cost me just wasn’t worth the conversions I was getting at all. I don’t really have much more to say about Pay Per Click.

Typos and Misspellings

Okay. I’ve saved the best til last. THIS is where I drive traffic to my web site. 70% of my traffic (2100 uniques per day) come from this source. Typos and Misspellings of domains and search words. How many times have you seen someone misspell a word they were searching for in google, how many times have you done this? How many times have you misspelled a domain? Can you imagine if you could rank number one for each and every typo and misspelling of your search words on Google? I’m sure you have heard of this. So had I when I decided to just give it a shot. My results were nothing sort of amazing. If you are having trouble getting traffic to your site, then you must learn more about this method.
